‘rabbits’ makes a lot of sense because i’ve also been watching a lot of television.
lynch captures television perfectly. encapsulates the bizarreness, the compulsive qualities and formal fallacies.
apparently random behaviour; the dependence on banal non-sequiturs or compulsion to elicit recognition and confirm identity traits for a viewer. a signifier which may elicit audience response is not the joke but recognition and with recognition confirmation – what occurs on the screen is what happens outside the screen.
